ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Acrobat Sign Cloud Signatures are remote digital signatures where the signer’s signature certificate is hosted in the cloud. To obtain a digital signing certificate, you must first verify your identity. This video tutorial outlines the general process to follow for registering your identity with D-Trust and then using it to apply a digital signature to a document in Acrobat Sign. To obtain a D-Trust qualified signing certificate and apply a digital signature from D-Trust, you must first verify your identity. You can do this directly from within a document sent to you from Acrobat Sign. Start by selecting Review and Sign in the email to begin. Accept the terms of use, if required, by selecting Continue. Now select the Click to Digitally Sign field. If your organization has only a single provider enabled, you will automatically be routed to that identity provider. If not, you will be prompted to select your digital identity provider from a list. We’ll select D-Trust and then click Next to continue. Once the D-Trust page is opened, you will see Sign Me, which is D-Trust’s branded remote signing solution. If you do not yet have a D-Trust Sign Me account, you will be asked to create one. Enter your email by adding in the username field and selecting Continue. Because your email is not yet in the D-Trust system, you will need to fill out the Sign Me registration form. Once the form is filled in and you have created a password, select Continue to submit. Now that your D-Trust Sign Me account has been created, you will need to sign into your account to begin the process of verifying your identity. Notice also that there is a list of FAQs on this page. Enter your password and then you need to agree to all the D-Trust terms and conditions by selecting the check boxes. Select Continue to confirm your agreement to all the D-Trust terms and conditions. To begin the identification process, please be sure that you have all the correct documents available. Note that D-Trust accepts many EID cards, including the German Ausweis. Select Continue and then review the requirements for the identity authentication process. And then select the Start Identification button to begin. Note that D-Trust uses a service called Identity TM for the identification process. For this scenario, we’ll select Passport to begin the video identification process with a D-Trust representative. To take a picture of a passport, please select Allow to give Identity TM access to your camera. Please follow the guidance from Identity TM on how to capture a good image of your passport. And once the image has been taken, select Capture Data Page to continue. Before the video interview starts, select Allow to provide access to your device’s camera and microphone. When the identification meeting starts, a D-Trust representative will ask you to show the front of your passport, show the data page, and to tilt the passport to show the hologram, and other tasks to prove your ID document is authentic. Next, the D-Trust representative will ask you to type in your address. Once the address is confirmed, the Identity TM representative will ask for your phone number. The number will be used to send an SMS text containing a code. When the TAN code is received on the mobile device, enter it into the TAN code entry field. If the TAN code is correct, the identity is now confirmed with Identity TM. Identity TM reminds you, in German, not to close the browser before the signature process is completed. You will now be asked to sign in to your Sign Me account, and after entering your username and password, select Continue. Sign Me will send confirmation that your signature certificates are now ready to use. Select Continue to advance. Back in Acrobat Sign, you can apply a digital signature to the document by selecting Click to Sign. You will need to authenticate your identity with D-Trust by requesting and entering a TAN code via SMS or via the Sign Me app. Select Request TAN to continue. Enter the TAN code that you received on your mobile device, and select Sign to apply your signature. Now that the document is signed, you can download a copy of the document to your local computer. Opening the document in Acrobat or Acrobat Reader, you will see the blue bar at the top of the document showing that the signed document was certified by ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Acrobat Sign using a D-Trust signing certificate. In the Signature panel, you can see the green checkmark in front of each digital signature, which is a visual indication that the chain of trust is verified. You can also expand each digital signature line for additional verification details, including the change history of the document since the first digital signature was applied, as well as information about the time the agreement was signed, chain of trust, and signer details.
