Issue/Symptoms
When uploading images to AEM, the image metadata for height and width does not display correctly. For example, vertical images with dimensions such as 2667x4000 pixels might show swapped values in AEM’s metadata properties, displaying a width of 4000 pixels and a height of 2667 pixels. In some cases, an image’s metadata is not swapped but is completely incorrect.

To resolve this issue where image dimensions appear incorrectly due to image metadata discrepancies, try the following:
- Verify image metadata with an external tool like or to check the embedded metadata within the image file. Confirm the
Image WidthandImage Heightvalues. - If the metadata is incorrect (i.e., width and height are swapped), recreate the image file with accurate metadata. Make adjustments directly on the original file before re-uploading it into AEM.
