Real-Time Customer Profile detail customization profile-detail-customization

Within the ۶Ƶ Experience Platform user interface, you can view and interact with Real-Time Customer Profile data in the form of customer profiles. The profile information displayed in the UI has been merged together from multiple profile fragments to form a single view of each individual customer. This includes details such as basic attributes, linked identities, and channel preferences. The default fields shown in profiles can also be changed at an organizational level to display preferred Profile attributes. This guide provides step-by-step instructions for customizing the way in which Profile data is displayed within the Platform UI.

For a complete guide to the Profiles UI, please visit the Profile UI guide.

Reorder and resize cards reorder-and-resize-cards

From the Detail tab of the customer profile, you can select Customize profile details in order to resize and reorder existing cards.

The Customize profile details button is highlighted on the Profile dashboard.

After choosing to modify the dashboard, you can reorder the cards by selecting the card title and dragging and dropping the cards into the desired order. You can also resize a card by selecting the angle symbol in the bottom-right corner of the card () and dragging the card to the desired size. In this example, the Basic attributes card is being resized.

The resize button is highlighted within the Basic attributes card.

The selected card adjusts to the desired size and surrounding cards are repositioned dynamically. This may cause some cards to be moved to additional rows, requiring you to scroll down in order to see all cards. For example, when the “Basic attributes” card is resized the “Linked identities” card is no longer visible on the top row and now appears on a new second row within the profile (not shown). To return the “Linked identities” card to the top row, you could drag and drop it into the current position of the “Channel preferences” card.

A re-sized card is highlighted.

Edit and remove cards

In addition to resizing and reordering cards, you can edit the content of certain cards and remove some cards from the dashboard entirely. Select the ellipses (...) in the top-right corner of the card in order to edit or remove it. This opens a dropdown with options to either edit or remove the card, depending on the properties of the card selected.

NOTE
Not all cards can be edited or removed. This is because some cards contain read-only or required information. If a card does not have an ellipses in the top-right corner, it contains read-only AND required information and cannot be edited nor can be it removed. If a card has ellipses in the corner and selecting it shows only an option to remove the card, the card information is read-only and cannot be edited.

The edit card dropdown is highlighted. This includes options to edit or remove the card.

Select Edit in the dropdown to open the Edit widget workspace, where you can update the card title, reorder or remove the visible attributes, or add additional attributes using the Add attributes button.

The Basic attributes card is shown.

You can remove and reorder attributes here as well. The total number of attributes selected is shown, as well as the maximum number of attributes (20) that can be added to a single card.

The attributes that currently make up the attributes on the card are highlighted.

You can select any of the available union schema fields to customize the attributes on the card that you are editing. When selecting the fields, you can choose to see either the file path name or the display name. To switch between these two displays, select the Show display names toggle.

The Show display names toggle is highlighted within the Profile details page.

Selected fields are shown with a check mark next to them and are automatically added to the list of selected attributes. Once you have added all of the attributes that you would like to have displayed on the card, choose Select to return to the Edit widget screen.

When you return to the Edit widget screen, the list of attributes on the card should now be updated to reflect your choices. You can still remove or reorder the card attributes or edit the card title as needed. Once your edits are complete, select Save to save your changes.
