Learn the basics of using the AEM Assets as a Cloud Service and GenStudio for Performance Marketing integration; uploading assets to AEM Assets, asset approval in AEM Assets, and use of approved assets in GenStudio for Performance Marketing.
Welcome to this walkthrough on enhancing your ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ GenStudio content supply chain using AEM Assets and GenStudio for Performance Marketing. In this video, we’ll explore the core benefits of integrating AEM assets with GenStudio for Performance Marketing.
This integration allows you to upload and store assets in AEM Assets, approve them, and ultimately use them in GenStudio for Performance Marketing to create personalized on-brand marketing experiences at scale. To illustrate, let’s look at one way the Weken brand helps launch its new adventure, Experience Iceland. Weken wants to promote this adventure using an email campaign, so we’ll go through the process of uploading assets to AEM Assets and seamlessly utilizing them in GenStudio for performance marketing to create personalized on-brand marketing experiences. Let’s begin by uploading images for the Experience Iceland marketing campaign. In AEM Assets, navigate to the folder where you’ll store these files. Let’s add them to our adventures folder.
AEM Assets offers various ways to upload, from using Content Hub to automated imports, but for this walkthrough, we’ll keep it simple and use the ad assets capability.
We need to select the folder or assets to upload from our local machine.
So we can pick the folder that contains all the images and upload them to AEM. After uploading, AEM Assets processes each file, extracting metadata and generating renditions. Next, we’ll approve the assets to make them available in GenStudio for Performance Marketing. AEM Assets provide several ways to approve assets from auto approvals and Content Hub uploads to review tasks, but we’ll keep it simple by setting each asset’s approval status in its details, as this best illustrates the underlying mechanics of asset approval.
To approve an asset located in AEM Assets, open the assets details and set the status to approved. You can also update other metadata, which helps make the asset discoverable across ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ GenStudio. Alternatively, you can bulk approve multiple assets by selecting them, editing their metadata, and setting their status to approved. With the asset status is set to approved, these assets are ready to be used across all channels and experiences, including GenStudio for Performance Marketing.
As mentioned before, there are many different paths to approval that are explored in other videos and documentation. Now, let’s switch to GenStudio for performance marketing and create a new path for approval. Let’s create a new marketing experience for the Experience Iceland adventure using our newly approved assets. In GenStudio for performance marketing, start by selecting Create, then choose an experience type suited to your campaign. Let’s create an on-brand email.
Select a predefined email template, then define the parameters for ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Gen AI and for brand, select Weekend, and for persona, choose Family Planner, as we want to get more families to participate in this adventure. And lastly, we’ll select the Experience Iceland adventure from the product dropdown, which is the pre-configured definition that informs GenStudio for Performance Marketing about the details of how we position this adventure package to customers.
Next, we’ll select the approved image to use in the emails. Under Location, select your AEM Assets deployment to access all approved assets in the repository.
Locate and select the asset, and then click Use. Describe the experience you want GenStudio for performance marketing to create, and then press Generate, and ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Gen AI will create on-brand experiences based on your settings.
And just like that, in a couple steps and a few minutes, you’ve taken an asset from upload and approval in AEM Assets to an engaging on-brand experience in GenStudio. This integration ensures that your assets are brand approved and ready to deliver consistent, high-quality content across every channel. Thanks for joining us.
