Sometimes, instead of using a template to create a project, you just want to copy a project. To do this, just open the project you want to copy and click the three dot menu next to the project name. Then select copy. The copy project window appears. Here you can change the name of the project. And you can change the status. It鈥檚 usually a good idea to change it to planning. If you leave it as current, it will send notifications to all those assigned to the project as soon as you complete the copy. Planning is usually what you would want. Now you can decide whether or not you want to copy other items to your new project. If you deselect assignments, it will not carry over any assignments, not even job roles. If you need the job roles, leave this box checked. You can easily bulk edit the assignments in the new project. We鈥檒l uncheck progress so that all the tasks will be set to new. If you deselect custom data, all your custom forms will still be copied over, but the data in the forms will not. If you want both the forms and the data, leave this box checked. To complete the copy, click copy project. Issues were not an option to copy over, since they are not considered planned work. If you want the issues from a project copied, you can easily do it. Just go to the issues tab and select any issues you want. Then select copy to. Designate the new project you created and click copy issues.
