Benefits of Proofing in Workfront In this video, you learn what is proofing and the benefits of using digital proofing in Workfront. A sale ad, a new version of a contract, or the specs for the latest retail product never go out the door without some sort of review and approval process. With Workfront, you can review, comment on, and approve work digitally using the proofing tool. Proofing can solve the problems you typically encounter when dealing with paper proofs. Every comment is housed in the same place, which means you don’t have to pick your way through an email chain or a stack of sticky notes to figure out what corrections need to be made. And Workfront maintains the comment history across versions of a proof, so you can pinpoint where a specific correction was made. Reviewers can see what’s going on and respond to each other’s comments in a single digital document. You don’t have to wait for a paper copy to make its way from a coworker’s desk to yours to start your review or wait for everyone to reply to an email that had a PDF attached. Because more than one person can work on a proof at a time, proofing makes sure the right stakeholders see the proof at the right time. This streamlined, centralized collaboration means fewer rounds of revisions and a final product that gets out the door faster.
