Add a user to an organization or team in ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Workfront Fusion

IMPORTANT
The procedure described on this page applies only to organizations that have not yet been onboarded to the ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Admin Console. If your organization has been onboarded to the ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Admin Console, you must perform this action through the ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Admin Console.

You must have the following access to use the functionality in this article:

Pro or higher
ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Workfront license*
Plan, Work
ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Workfront Fusion license**

Current license requirement: No Workfront Fusion license requirement.

Legacy license requirement: Workfront Fusion for Work Automation and Integration, Workfront Fusion for Work Automation

Product

Current product requirement: If you have the Select or Prime ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Workfront Plan, your organization must purchase ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Workfront Fusion as well as ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Workfront to use functionality described in this article. Workfront Fusion is included in the Ultimate Workfront plan.

Legacy product requirement: Your organization must purchase ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Workfront Fusion as well as ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Workfront to use functionality described in this article.

Access level configurations*

You must be a Workfront Fusion administrator for your organization.

You must be a Workfront Fusion administrator for your team.

Add users to an organization

NOTE
If your organization is currently in the process of moving to the ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Admin Console, you cannot manage users in Workfront (adding or deleting users.) You can perform these actions in the ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Admin Console after your migration is complete.

To add users to the organization, you must be an administrator at the organization you want to add users to. For information about roles, see Organization roles in ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Workfront Fusion.

To add a user to the organization:

  1. Navigate to Organizations in the menu and select the organization you want to add a user to.

  2. Open the Users tab in your Dashboard.

  3. Click Invite a new user.and send the invitation by clicking Send.

    If you do not see the Invite a new user button, your organization has been onboarded to the ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Business Platform.

  4. Fill out the form.

    Email address Enter the user's email address
    Name Enter the user's full name
    Role Select the user's role. For explanation of roles, see Organization and team roles.
    Teams Select all of the teams that you want the user to be a member of.
    Note Enter a note for the user. This note will appear in the user's invitation email.

    The user receives an invitation email where they can accept the invitation.

    Add a user to a team

    Your users are assigned to teams when you create them. If an existing user needs to be added to a team, you can add them on the team’s Users page.

    Adding a user to a team is handled from the page for that team.

    1. Go to the team you want to add the user to by selecting Organizations in the left panel, clicking the Teams tab on the organization page, and selecting the team.

      Or

      If you are on the page for another team, click the team dropdown at the top of the page.

    2. On the Team’s page (with the team name at the top of the page), select the Users tab.

    3. Locate the user on the page. Users in your organization appear on this page even if they are not a member of the team.

    4. Click None to the right of the user’s name, then select the role you want them to have on the team.

    The user is added to the team.
