Manage ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Workfront Planning in-app notifications

IMPORTANT
The information in this article refers to ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Workfront Planning, an additional capability from ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Workfront.
You must have the following to access Workfront Planning:
  • A new Workfront package and license. Workfront Planning is not available for legacy Workfront packages or licenses.
  • A Workfront Planning package.
  • Your organization’s instance of Workfront must be onboarded to the ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Unified Experience.

You can receive in-app notifications from Workfront Planning when the following scenarios exist:

  • Someone tags you in a record comment

    For information about tagging others in a record comment, see Manage record comments.

  • Someone asks for your permission to access a view or a workspace

  • Someone confirms your access has been granted for a view or a workspace

Your organization's instance of Workfront must be onboarded to the ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Unified Experience.

The users in your organization receive notifications from Workfront Planning only when your organization is onboarded to the ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Unified Experience.

Access level configuration There are no access level controls for ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Workfront Planning
Object permissions

View or higher permissions to a workspace

System Administrators have permissions to all workspaces, including the ones they did not create
Layout template All users, including Workfront administrators, must be assigned a layout template that includes the Planning area in the Main Menu.

Manage in-app notifications when someone tags you in a comment

  1. (Conditional) After someone tags you in a comment on a record, go to the in-app Notifications icon Experience cloud notifications icon in ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Experience Cloud.

  2. Click the notification.

    The record details page opens in Workfront Planning. You can make updates to the record, or reply to the comment.

  3. (Optional) Click Mark all as read to indicate that you have read all notifications.

  4. (Optional) Click View all to go to the Notifications page in ÃÛ¶¹ÊÓƵ Experience Cloud.

Manage in-app notifications when requesting and granting permissions

You receive in-app notifications when someone requests or grants you permissions to a view or a workspace.
