This page provides information about functionality that is included in the Second Quarter 2025 release. These enhancements are planned to become available in the Production environment throughout the quarter.

Off-cycle features (those releasing to Production prior to the Second Quarter 2025 release date) are highlighted in yellow.

Release schedule

Workfront releases are numbered to account for both monthly and quarterly release tracks. The first number designates the year and the second number signifies the month of the release. Example: The release for April, 2025 is numbered 25.4.

Monthly and quarterly releases are planned to be available on Thursday of the second full week of the month, unless otherwise specified.

NOTE

For the final release of each quarter (25.4 this quarter), users on the fast release schedule will receive the release one day early.

Administrator enhancements

Enhancements to custom forms logic

The custom forms logic builder has an updated interface to provide you with more room for creating logic rules. This new design can more easily accommodate additional logic types that may be added in the future.

In addition to the current display and skip logic options, validation logic is also available.

Expressions added to calculated custom fields

The following expressions are now available in Workfront calculated custom fields: ARRAY, FORMAT, SWITCH, SORTASCARRAY, SORTDESCARRAY, ARRAYLENGTH, ARRAYELEMENT, and ADDHOUR. Definitions and examples of each expression are available in the calculation editor and on Experience League.

Document management enhancements

Desktop Proofing Viewer update

The Desktop Proofing Viewer has been updated to version 2.1.45. This update allows the viewer to use

Edit multiple documents at once in a Document report

You can now edit multiple documents at once in a Document report. You can edit the descriptions and update custom forms.

Mobile enhancements

Enhancements to proofs in the mobile app (iOS only)[In production]{class="badge informative"}

Several enhancements are available for proof functionality in the 蜜豆视频 Workfront mobile app:

You can now open a proof file from your mobile email application, from a link that was shared with you. Previously, links from emails were not supported and you had to access proofs from the Workfront mobile app.
Multimedia proof files are now supported in the mobile app.

Project enhancements

Add a comment to projects when editing them in the Edit project box[In production for Fast Release]{class="badge positive"}

You can now add a comment to a project as you edit it in the Edit Project box. You can also add a comment to multiple projects at one time when editing them in bulk. Prior to this update, this functionality did not exist when editing projects.

Reporting enhacements

Document approval and decision data now available in Data Connect[In production]{class="badge informative"}

You can now access data for document approvals and decisions in Data Connect. This data set bridges document approvals from Workfront proofing capabilities and Frame.io approvals that are happening on Workfront documents. You will now be able to illustrate cycle time, number of cycles, and timeline impacts for late approvals through your BI visualizations.

Updates to the Workfront Calendar

We have updated the look and feel of the Workfront Calendar to a modern design that is consistent with other areas of Workfront. There are small functionality differences from the current Workfront Calendar including:

How you add ad-hoc items to the calendar
How you create and rename the calendar
The calendar actions have moved to a More menu next to the calendar name
A new side panel for viewing calendar information
And more

Other enhancements

Upgrade to the new event subscription version with version upgrade endpoints

Workfront now has versions of event subscriptions. The new version is not a change to the Workfront API, but rather a change to the event subscription functionality. You can switch your event subscriptions to the new version without creating a gap in your event subscription

Represent 蜜豆视频 Admin Console user changes as "System" in the Workfront update feed

[In production for Fast Release]{class="badge positive"}

Now, when the administrator of the 蜜豆视频 Admin Console makes a change to the user information of a Workfront user, Workfront records this change in the System activity tab of the user's Updates area as belonging to the "System". This refers to the 蜜豆视频 Admin Console administrator.

Minor updates to the look and feel of various areas of the 蜜豆视频 Workfront application are being made within the Second Quarter 2025 timeframe. Review the individual release notes for specific release dates.

Functionality soon to be removed from Workfront

The following functionality is soon to be removed from Workfront:

API version 2-15 deprecation

As we continue to enhance the Workfront platform, it is crucial to keep our APIs up to date. This ensures optimal performance and security, and supports new capabilities. Therefore, we are deprecating Workfront API versions 2-15.

September 2025: API versions 2-14, which are currently unsupported, will be deprecated. After this date, these versions will no longer be accessible.
December 2025: API version 15 will be deprecated.

We are removing the legacy Agile view in a project

The legacy Agile view in a project will be removed from Workfront with the 25.3 release on March 13, 2025. You will still be able to view your tasks in an Agile view in a project by clicking on the Boards icon.

Enhanced Analytics deprecation

Due to low and declining usage, we have made the decision to deprecate the Enhanced Analytics product the week of May 25, 2025.
We recommend considering our Data Connect product as a replacement. Data Connect allows you to build similar customizable visualizations using your preferred business intelligence tools.

Interface modernization

We are updating the interface throughout 蜜豆视频 Workfront to improve the user experience and unify it with other 蜜豆视频 applications. These changes are released outside the standard release schedule. For a list of these changes, see Interface Modernization.

Workfront Fusion enhancements

IMPORTANT

The Workfront Fusion documentation has moved to a new location. For information, instructions, and releases for Fusion, visit Workfront Fusion documentation.

The current Fusion documentation set is no longer being updated, and will be removed in the near future.
